Introduction to Improvised Rap with MC Canyon (Annie Harris)
Interested in improvised rap, but don't know where to start? Had 'Hamilton' as an audience suggestion in one of your shows and had to turn it down? This introduction to improvised rap workshop is a great place to start! Join Extreme Improv veteran Annie Harris (AKA MC Canyon) for two hours of rhyme, rhythm and rap building exercises. Annie Harris is a multi-disciplinary queer, neurodivergent and disabled performer and producer from Brighton. She has created three shows for the UK Fringe circuit, as well as being a regular performer of comedy, music and improvisation. She produces and presents the improv comedy podcast and live streaming channel Contrived and Insufferable, and performs with Extreme Improv and The Parentheticals. Annie has also had a career in theatre, film and musicals, namely 'Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens' (Soho and Clapham), and 'Cinderella' (Walt Disney) directed by Kenneth Branagh. She is originally from Wales and trained in Musical Theatre at the London College of Music. You can find her on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok at @realannieharris.
